The vision of the Diversity United Foundation is to create a network for connecting individuals to diverse opportunities that fosters diversity in communities worldwide; while also empowering and assisting individuals in reaching their greatest potential through inclusion!

We believe that access to resources and opportunities should be equally available to every type of individual no matter our differences in race, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, tribe, caste, socio-economic status, thinking and communication styles, etc.

We strive to create cultures that assist others in building bridges of inclusion by becoming a bridge first; while intentionally welcoming, respecting, and valuing the participation and experiences of others.

Schools

Incorporating lesson plans that account for all forms of diversity is key. A growing number of schools are now incorporating teaching methods that are more in line with STEAM education (Science, Tech, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) as it has become clear that arts education makes learning more fun and keeps children more engaged.

Workplaces

In 1972, women coached more than 90 percent of collegiate women’s Teams.

Today, they coach fewer than half.

Sports

Diversity and inclusion has received only minimal consideration in the world of sports; until now. Succeeding in sports gives people with social disadvantages the confidence to succeed in other areas of life.

When individuals, especially children, see people they identify with playing sports, it expands their horizons and makes them believe they can be anything they want to be.

Health

Health disparities affect segments of the population differently. Attitudes toward health care and treatment can vary among different populations. Medical professionals need to provide custom care that acknowledges and recognizes these differences. The medical field needs to diversify in order to serve its diverse patient population.
