Diversity United Foundation scholarships
The Diversity United Scholarships initiative is designed to provide funding to close the financial gap for students that have an urgent financial needs while increasing the presence of diversity and inclusion in higher education; providing financial assistance to high school seniors headed to college and current collegiate students. These scholarships are available to students who desire to major in the following areas:
Arts & Humanities
Health & Medicine
Social Sciences
Public & Social Services
Science, Technology, Arts, and Mathematics
Business
Trades & Personal Services
Sports Administration
Scholars will have to submit a renewal application to continue to receive the scholarship. Additionally, the scholars will be required to attend a summer session and will be paired with a mentor to assist with guidance during their time in school.
Scholarship Types
Diversity United offers three types of unique scholarships that are merit, plus need-based designed to address the financial needs of students attending a DUF member-school or other accredited college or university (if applicable). The awards process is highly competitive and is given to outstanding and qualified students who plan to earn a baccalaureate, graduate or law degree. The average award is $3,100 per student per semester. Most scholarships are one year, non-renewable unless otherwise indicated. Awards are given without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, disability or national origin.
Gap Completion
Designed to provide funding to close the financial gap for students that have an urgent financial need. A graduating senior at risk of not obtaining his or her degree due to outstanding fees receives first consideration for this scholarship.
Access & Diversity
Covers tuition, fees and on-campus room and board for all classifications of students, giving them access to a college education. Students from underprivileged diverse communities who hope to attend college receives first consideration for this scholarship.
Programmatic
Covers tuition, fees and on-campus room and board for all classifications of students, giving them access to a college education, as well as support services aimed at strengthening their leadership and professional development (e.g. student mentor).

Barbra “BJ” Brown Scholarship

Estell johnson Scholarship
The Estell Johnson Memorial Scholarship was created to honor, cherish and remember the legacy of Estell Johnson.
